DEIXIS - the DOE CSGF Magazine - Awards

Since its inception in 2002, the DOE CSGF magazine DEIXIS has won numerous awards.

2002-2003:

The premier issue of DEIXIS won the 2003 Clarion Award for Custom Publications - Magazine, Best Overall, from the Association for Women in Communications. The Clarion Awards is a renowned competition recognizing the best works from all communications fields. Entries are judged against the work of their peers in size and budget.  A picture of the award presentation is here.

It also received a Silver Award for 2003 from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), District VI. The award was for Excellence in Communications in the Overall Publications, Single Student Recruitment Publication category. Publications in this category are judged on overall concept, writing, design, photography, printing quality, and marketing strategies (if applicable).

In addition, DEIXIS received a Crystal Award of Excellence from the Communicator Awards 2003 Print Competition. The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition founded by communication professionals to recognize excellence in the communication field. The Crystal Award of Excellence is given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field.

2003-2004:

For the second straight year, the magazine won the 2004 Clarion Award for Best Overall Magazine in the Custom Publications Category from the Association for Women in Communications.

It also repeated in winning a Crystal Award of Excellence from the Communicator Awards 2004 Print Competition.

2004-2005:

Continuing its streak of award wins, DEIXIS was recognized with the 2005 Clarion Award for Best Overall Magazine in the Custom Publications Category from the Association for Women in Communications.

DEIXIS also received an APEX Award of Excellence for 2005. Sponsored by the editors of Writing that Works: the Business Communications Report [website], the awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence. The award was in the Printed Four Color Magazines & Journals category.

2005-2006:

For the fourth year running, DEIXIS garnered the 2006 Clarion Award for Best Overall Magazine in the Custom Publications Category from the Association for Women in Communications.
